Hiking – the slow way to experience Ærø
Hiking on Ærø is a fantastic and leisurely way to experience Ærø and the island's nature. The island also offers routes for all levels of fitness.

For many, the love for Ærø begins at the beach, and each beach has its own charm and is an experience in its own right. In summer, beach life here is something truly special, with sunshine, salty water and the kind of calm you only find on an island.
Eriks Hale is a headland on the outskirts of Marstal, which forms the city's bathing beach. On this beautiful beach there are both child- and adult-friendly depths.
Vesterstrand is a beautiful bathing beach next to Ærøskøbing. Here is a jetty and nice shallow, emerald green water.
On the southern coast of Ærø you'll find Risemark Strand. It is a super nice sandy beach with a naturist beach area.
